Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends. You will deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, following established nursing models and advocating for patients and families.

Responsibilities include assessing conditions at admission and on each shift, administering medications, documenting care, educating patients and families, and responding promptly to requests to ensure outstanding outcomes and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Associates Degree okay to hire; BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
• Current RN license in the state of Texas or compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required by AHA or Red Cross.
• 1 year acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipating needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
