Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Neurology Unit at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN. Open to new grads, this .7 FTE position offers 8-hour evening shifts with every other weekend rotation and a variable weekday schedule.

The unit handles diverse cases from stroke to complex wound care, with opportunities to gain Med/Surg or Neuro certifications. Join a team focused on compassionate care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred depending on unit and patient population.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop a nursing plan.
• Coordinate care with the health care team and family.
• Deliver and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately to team members.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to promote partnership.
• Advance care through evidence-based practice and care pathways.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and patient outcomes.
