Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Maplewood, MN, is hiring a Nursing Assistant for the St. John’s Hospital team. The role is 48 hours every two weeks on the Day/Evening Shift (7:00AM - 3:30PM / 3:00PM - 11:30PM), with 8 hour shifts and every other weekend; schedule may vary.

Work on a 33-bed Orthopedic/Medical-Surgical unit under RN supervision, providing direct patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and daily living assistance; documentation in the EHR is required.

Qualifications

• Six months of recent direct care experience in long-term, home, or acute care.
• Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification at hire or during transfer.
• Completion of Fairview OnTrack Nursing Assistant training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks as part of an RN-led team.
• Take vital signs, glucose, and assist with mobility and hygiene.
• Support meals, transfers, and activities of daily living.
• Document care in the EHR and communicate with care team.
• Ensure safety, adhere to policies, and report changes to RN.
