Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Postpartum Unit at St. John's Hospital.

The 0.7 FTE night shift offers 8-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation, and the unit features 29 LDRP beds plus a NICU expansion. The RN will coordinate care, perform comprehensive assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and collaborate with physicians and the interdependent team to ensure patient safety and high-quality experiences.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of PostPartum or L&D experience.
• Internship, Preceptorship or Capstone in L&D or PostPartum.
• Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross).
• Registered Nurse Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for a group of patients on the unit.
• Assess patient and family needs and plan care.
• Monitor progress and modify the care plan as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdependent team.
• Promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Comply with regulatory and nursing standards.
• Participate in improving department goals.
