Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a dynamic RN Med Surg Float Pool to join our team in Panama City, Florida. You will have the unique ability to float across various nursing areas while influencing patient care and outcomes.

The ideal candidate must hold a Florida RN license, have at least 2 years of recent bedside nursing experience, and be committed to delivering high-quality patient care. Comprehensive benefits and support for continuing education are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent bedside nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Compact RN license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days.
• Current ACLS preferred, required within 6 months.

Job description

As a RN Med Surg Float Pool, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn – whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You’ll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

We are seeking a dynamic Float Pool RN to join our team. You will have the unique ability to “float” between several different areas across the nursing spectrum.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the patient and family advocate, protecting privacy and confidentiality
• Facilitate patient care by making nursing assessments and diagnosis
• Provide plan-based care with a commitment to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• BLS‑AHA provider‑issued card required within 30 days of start
• Minimum 2 years’ of recent bedside nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Current ACLS preferred, required within 6 months of hire
• BSN preferred
