Job summary

Essentia Health's St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN, seeks a Med/Surg Float Pool RN to organize care from assessment to evaluation. You’ll lead a nursing team, delegate duties, and support the facility’s mission and community service.

The role includes 8-hour shifts, Day/Night rotation, every other weekend, and benefits, with a 0.7 FTE commitment and a $2.00 per hour float pool sign-on. Join a large, level I trauma center in northern Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Minnesota required.
• BCLS certification within one month of hire.
• Experience in medical-surgical or float pool settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Lead a team of nursing personnel and delegate tasks per licensure.
• Contribute to meeting mission and regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, etc.).
• Work rotating day/night shifts with weekends every other.

We are currently hiring an RN for our Med/Surg Float Pool at St Mary's Medical Center!

At Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center, we’re northern Minnesota’s largest hospital, with 380 beds. We are also a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 24-hour emergency care and critical care.

• You will be in charge of organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• You will get to be a team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
• You will be part of something bigger as you will contribute to meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serve the community in which you live.
• You will meet the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

This position will work the following:

• 0.7 FTE

• $2.00 per hour upon hire into a float pool position
