Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced RN for the 9A Medical-Surgical unit. The role supports care for medically complex patients, with a 1:5 (occasionally 1:6) nurse-to-patient ratio and a team-focused culture.

Responsibilities include assessments, plan of care, and collaboration with physicians, families, therapists and pharmacists. BLS required within 30 days; Illinois RN license. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 for external applicants.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with Illinois IDFPR.
• Education includes HS Diploma/GED and an Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs unit duties per scope of service and maintains documentation.
• Completes initial assessment and develops care plan with patient/family needs.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions with safety focus.
• Communicates with care team to coordinate patient care and safety.
