Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg 2 (N) on the night shift. You will provide professional nursing care per physician plan, assess patient needs, and document progress.

Work with interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care and participate in orientation of new staff. The role requires NYS RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS per policy, and the ability to handle patient safety and comfort across age groups.

Qualifications

• Two-year Nursing program required.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS per department policy (AHA).
• Ability to lift >75 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient health data with patient/family involvement.
• Perform initial patient assessment.
• Document plan of care and progress.
• Develop and communicate a care plan.
• Coordinate discharge planning with care team.
• Document patient responses and revise plans as needed.
