Responsibilities

• The registered nurse collects patient health data with patient, family and other providers.
• Performs initial assessment based on patient presentation.
• Records relevant data on nursing assessments and plans of care.
• Demonstrates awareness of age/cultural needs and safety concerns.
• Ongoing assessments and discharge planning integration.
• Collaborates with team to implement the plan of care.
• Mentors and orients new staff.
