Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a skilled MDS Coordinator - RN to ensure timely and accurate completion of the MDS assessment and to review care plans for residents. You will coordinate cross-disciplinary information to maintain compliance and optimal reimbursement within our nursing center.

The role requires an active RN license and at least one year of long-term care experience, with opportunities for growth in a supportive, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall process and tracking of all Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure appropriate reimbursement for services provided within the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to assure achievement of maximum allowable RUG categories.
• Integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
