PowerBack Rehabilitation is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as the MDS Coordinator in Beckley, WV. You will ensure timely and precise completion of the MDS assessment and review care plans for physical, cognitive, and social factors to uphold high standards of care.

Responsibilities include managing Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documentation for reimbursement, conducting concurrent MDS reviews to maximize RUG categories, and coordinating data from nursing, dietary, social services, and

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• LPNs with MDS experience may be considered.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete the MDS treatment assessment tool accurately and on time; review care plans for physical, cognitive, and social factors to ensure quality of care.
• Manage Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure appropriate reimbursement for services in the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to achieve maximum allowable RUG categories and integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services.
