Job summary

Regency at Jackson is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator RN to manage the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), including MDS, CAAs, care planning, and compliant documentation. You will ensure PDPM and payer requirements alignment while supervising nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Prior MDS/RAI experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS/RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, Quality Measures, and Care Area Assessments and Care Planning processes.
• Knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process and PPS/case-mix payment systems is preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Interviews and trains MDS Nurse as requested.
• Plans, assigns and directs work.
• Prepares work assignment sheets, considering patient safety and staff capabilities.
• Monitors and evaluates staff performance and participates in improvement plans.
• Supervises assigned staff and ensures proper supervision of their teams.
