Job summary

St. Sophia Health & Rehab in Florissant, MO is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator (RN) to oversee the RAI process and MDS assessments. The role requires Missouri RN licensure, CPR certification, and strong documentation skills.

You will work with the Director of Nursing, train staff on RAI, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage the MDS department to support quality care and accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must be an RN with a current, active Missouri license.
• CPR certified.
• MDS experience is preferred, however will educate and work alongside any dedicated, enthusiastic candidate to grow their skill set.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Understand regulations and standards related to the RAI process.
• Coordinate MDS/Case Mix coding with referrals and Medicaid eligibility.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure timely nursing documentation and risk assessments.
• Participate in community and corporate level meetings.
• Prepare and submit Additional Documentation Requests (ADRs)/Revenue Audits.
• Train staff on the RAI process and assess competency of staff.
