Job summary

Mesaverdehealthcare seeks a Medicare MDS Coordinator to oversee the resident assessment process under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services. This role focuses on coordinating the Interdisciplinary Team for timely MDS completion in compliance with state and federal regulations.

The position requires an active RN license, strong English communication, and solid administrative skills, with CPR certification preferred and 1–2 years in long-term care. Supervisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in nursing (RN required).
• Written and verbal communications skills in English as business necessity.
• Administrative and organizational ability and skills.
• 1-2 years nursing experience in long term care preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the Medicare/MDS resident assessment process.
• Ensures the Interdisciplinary Team completes the MDS Assessment in a timely manner.
• Coordinates development, implementation and evaluation of plan of care.
• Coordinates and performs nursing interventions as indicated by the plan of care or as ordered by the physician.
• Coordinates and provides nursing care in accordance with infection control standards.
• Follows safety policies in performing nursing care.
• Coordinates and initiates emergency measures according to center policy.
