Genesis Healthcare in Rhode Island is seeking a Registered Nurse to support patient assessment processes, reimbursement, and interdisciplinary care planning in a long-term care setting.

You will complete MDS items, CAAs, and coordinate with the RAI process, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state and in good standing.
• Experience in hospital, long-term care facility, or healthcare-related facility required.
• Prior experience completing MDSs and Care Plans required.
• Knowledge of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and regulations governing long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate reimbursement for patient care services.
• Participate in the Patient Assessment Process through completion of items on the MDS and CAAs.
• Assist in development of individualized patient care plans and coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the RAI process with encoding and transmission of the MDS.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living training for new hires and ongoing education.
• Attend educational programs to maintain knowledge of RAI/Prospective Payment System regulations.
