Job summary

CONSUMER DIRECTED SERVICES INC. is seeking an RN MDS Coordinator to oversee timely CMS MDS Assessments, CAAs, and Care Plans, ensuring compliance with RAI manual regulations.

Responsibilities include reviewing assessments, validating reports in CMS QIES before billing, and educating staff on CMS updates; you will support interdisciplinary teams, ensure patient safety, and assist with evacuation procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of two years’ nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics.
• CPR certification (obtained upon hire or during orientation).
• Advanced knowledge of post-acute care practices, laws, and regulations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist with accurate and timely completion and submission of interdisciplinary MDS Assessments, CAAs, and Care Plans in compliance with CMS RAI Manual Regulations.
• Review assessments, validate reports, and ensure assessments are entered into the CMS QIES system before billing.
• Report patient condition changes to the Director of Nursing and review the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
• Provide education to care staff on CMS regulations and documentation updates.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and review CMS Reports to prevent delays and errors.
• Perform staff nurse functions as needed and exhibit excellent customer service.
• Assist with patient evacuation and ensure safety protocols.
