Job summary

Ciena Healthcare is seeking an RN MDS Coordinator to manage and coordinate RAI/MDS processes, CAAs, and care planning in alignment with federal and state regulations. The role supports compliant reimbursement under PDPM and related payer requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising MDS staff, training, planning, assigning work, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of assessments and documentation. Strong regulatory knowledge and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior MDS/RAI experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, Quality Measures and Care Area Assessments.
• Familiar with PPS principles and Case Mix payment systems.
• Regulatory standards and compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train MDS staff according to policy and laws.
• Plan, assign and direct work while ensuring patient safety.
• Prepare assignments and evaluate staff performance.
• Communicate effectively and resolve employee issues.
• Monitor performance and participate in performance improvement plans.
