Job summary

Adventist Health Castle in Kailua seeks an experienced nurse leader to create a safe, efficient unit environment and to optimize patient independence. You will supervise nursing and ancillary staff, coordinate daily activities, and partner with physicians and educators to meet educational needs and organizational goals.

The role emphasizes leadership in a high-quality care setting with focus on patient satisfaction, staff development, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience is required.
• Master's Degree is preferred.
• Five years' technical experience is preferred.
• One year's leadership experience is preferred.
• Two years' experience of acute care nursing in a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds a high performing clinical work team by recruiting and retaining skilled professional staff.
• Coaches and disciplines personnel when appropriate.
• Monitors attendance and schedules daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate care.
• Directs/monitors patient care activities to ensure quality and safe outcomes.
• Works to improve patient safety, quality of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience

Master's Degree

Five years' technical experience

One year's leadership experience

Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
