Job summary

Landmark Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Manager of LDRP nursing to oversee 24-hour unit operations and patient care delivery. The role leads a team of nurses, ensuring compliance with performance improvement initiatives and regulatory standards in a high-acuity perinatal setting.

The position requires an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and at least five years of perinatal nursing supervisory experience, with a BSN required for hires after 2021.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a perinatal nurse in an acute care setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.

Responsibilities

• Assumes 24-hour responsibility for daily operations management of LDRP.
• Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care.
• Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit and utilizes nursing staff effectively based on census and acuity.
• Communicates effectively with staff, physicians and administration both in writing and verbally.
• Consults with staff, physicians and director on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
