Job summary

Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI is seeking a Nurse Manager for the LDRP unit. The role provides 24‑hour leadership for daily operations, staffing, and patient care delivery in a high‑acuity perinatal setting.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing department plans, coordinating with staff, physicians, and administration, and ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards. RN licensure and BSN are required, with leadership experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a perinatal nurse in an acute care setting
• BSN, required for all hires after 1/11/2021

Responsibilities

• The Manager is a Registered Nurse who assumes 24-hour responsibility for the daily operations management of LDRP.
• Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care.
• Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations.
• Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit and effectively utilizes nursing personnel based on census and acuity.
• Communicates effectively with staff, physicians and administration both written and verbally.
• Consults with staff, physicians and director on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
