Job summary

Salem Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an RN Charge Nurse/Manager in Training for a 210-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Salem, VA. We are looking for caring, warm-hearted nurses who want to make a meaningful impact on patients and families, within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, communicating patient status to the Unit Manager, and filling in as Assistant Unit Manager across units.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia RN license.
• One year of previous experience preferred.
• Management/leadership experience preferred.
• Requires frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds).

• Communicates patient status to the Unit Manager.
• Works as an Assistant Unit Manager to 3 Long Term Care Units and 1 Skilled Unit.

• Assists in the supervision, orientation, and training of the nursing staff. Participates in the patient care planning conference with other disciplines.
• Identifies patient goals and approaches.
