Job summary

Salem Health & Rehabilitation Center in Salem, VA is seeking an RN House Supervisor to oversee the nursing department in the DON’s absence at our 210-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.

Monday-Friday 3p-11p; $10,000 retention bonus; licensed RNs with leadership skills encouraged to apply. We offer health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off and a 401K retirement plan to support our dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license in good standing.
• Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating shifts.
• Ability to manage admissions, transfers and discharges.

Responsibilities

• Oversees nursing department in DON’s absence.
• Reviews staffing at shift change; assigns and replaces staff.
• Completes patient care rounds and coordinates admissions/transfers/discharges.
• Assists in night shift orientation; supervises night shift staff.
• Rotating on-call schedule.

The RN House Supervisor oversees the nursing department in the DON’s absence. The House Supervisor reviews staffing at the change of a shift and assigns and replaces staff to meet patient care needs. Completes patient care rounds. Coordinates admissions, transfers and /or discharges and ensures appropriate documentation. Assists in orientation of night shift employees. Supervises and evaluates night shift employees. This position includes a rotating on call schedule.

Qualified candidates will be a licensed RN.
