Job summary

Medical Facilities Of America, Inc. is seeking a Unit Manager, RN for Pulaski Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pulaski, VA. The role oversees clinical operations on the unit, supervising RNs and CNAs, while coordinating with physicians and driving QI activities.

The position requires strong leadership and a commitment to high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have a Virginia RN license, 3–5 years of RN experience (preferably in long-term care), and may hold a BSN.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license current and active.
• Minimum 3–5 years of RN experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.
• Nursing management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations of the unit and supervise nurses and CNAs.
• Interface with physicians and participate in QI reporting and follow-up.
• Provide clinical expertise to staff as needed.
• Manage day-to-day unit operations, with Monday–Friday day shift and some on-call duties.

Pulaski Health & Rehabilitation Center has an exciting opportunity for a Unit Manager, RN in our 102bed skilled rehab center in Pulaski.

The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. This unit provides care for our most clinically acute patients and residents. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.

Requirements:

• Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum three to five years of experience as an RN, preferably in long term care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.
• Nursing Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
