Job summary

Kansas Medical Center (KMC) is seeking an RN Manager to strategically manage and direct the Emergency Department. The role involves selecting nursing and allied health staff for staffing, orientation, clinical education, and competency evaluation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required and RN License issued by the state board.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Emergency Department nursing and allied health staff.
• Oversee staffing needs, including selection and onboarding of personnel.
• Provide orientation, clinical education, and competency evaluation for staff.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and cost-effective resource use.
• Report to the Chief Nursing Officer and supervise ED staff.
