Job summary

AdventHealth in Manchester, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care within an interdisciplinary team. You will assess physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs and develop individualized care plans while ensuring safety and quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes patient education, accurate documentation, and adherence to nursing standards. Requires ASN with RN license and BLS; BSN is preferred and medical office experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• 1+ medical office experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Observe outcomes per nursing standards.
• Competent in IVs, wound care, medications, catheterization, specimen collection.
• Educate patients and families; assess learning readiness.

Job Description:

Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data. Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards. Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection. Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient. Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.
