Job summary

AdventHealth Manchester is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient education in a supportive team environment.

Schedule: 6a-6p with call requirement. Eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and a Clinical Ladder program offering up to 20% salary increases based on experience and development.

Qualifications

  • RN license required; BSN preferred.
  • 1+ acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written).
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use Windows-based programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans; regularly review and revise as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and protocols.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.

Job Description

Schedule: 6a-6p with call requirement Sign on Bonus: Up to $5,000 for eligible candidates Grow with us. Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20%* through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria. Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines. Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe healthcare environment. Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and their families, addressing their emotional and psychological needs. Supervise and delegate care provided by members of the healthcare team to ensure quality and efficiency. Engage in continuous professional development and participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Respond to code situations promptly and effectively, providing necessary interventions to stabilize patients.

  • Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes
Education
  • Associate's of Nursing Required
  • Bachelor's of Nursing Preferred
Work Experience
  • 1+ acute care hospital setting Preferred

Pay Range
