Job summary

St. Anthony North Hospital seeks an RN Lactation Consultant to assess and manage breastfeeding needs, provide direct patient care, and educate staff. The role emphasizes lactation expertise, independent nursing judgment, and collaboration with OB, NICU, and PEDS units.

You will develop policies and serve as a subject matter expert, delivering education to clients and hospital teams while supporting mothers and infants in a dynamic labor/postpartum environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or a valid compact-state license.
• BSN preferred to support broader clinical practice.
• IBCLC or CLC certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage breastfeeding mothers and babies with problems or concerns.
• Provide direct patient care and support lactation education for staff.
• Develop and present education for clients and hospital staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
• Document assessments, outcomes, and plans of care.
• Maintain independent judgment in assessment and nursing procedures.
