Job summary
Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse with lactation expertise to provide breastfeeding education and consultation within the Baptist Health System network. The role focuses on inpatient and outpatient settings, mentoring staff, and ensuring adherence to national lactation standards while supporting patient families.
You will contribute to staff development, coordinate breastfeeding education programs, and complete required competencies within the introductory period, with opportunities
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Texas State License for Registered Nurse is required.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing practice.
- Preferred 2 years of adults teaching experience.
- Lactation consultant certification preferred within 1 year.
- Active Healthcare Provider BLS on hire; AHA BLS within 60 days.
Responsibilities
- Provide breastfeeding education and consultation to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Offer staff development guidance for lactation services.
- Monitor, evaluate and revise breastfeeding education programs to national standards.
- Mentor and evaluate lactation instructors providing education.
- Complete established competencies within the designated introductory period.
