Job summary

Qualifications

• RN with lactation knowledge and IBCLC eligibility or certification a plus.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate mothers and families about breastfeeding techniques and cues.
• Develop personalized care plans to support breastfeeding success.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to families.
• Document interactions and plan care per hospital policy.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other providers.
• Deliver outpatient lactation support via in-person and telephone follow-ups.
• Assist in staff training on lactation practices.
• Contribute to program development and quality improvement.
