Job summary

Mercy is seeking experienced Labor and Delivery nurses to join the Joplin Birthing Center. The unit offers 15 suites for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care, plus a Level III NICU for high-risk cases.

You will apply the nursing process to patient care, coordinate with multiple departments, and safeguard patient rights and confidentiality while upholding Mercy Service Standards and values.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current RN license in the state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.

Position Details:

Mercy Joplin's Birthing Center offers 15 suites designed for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum periods. We have 2 fully equipped OR rooms within the Birthing Center, along with a Level III NICU to offer the region’s best care for premature or critically ill infants.

Seeking experienced L&D Nurses

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
