Mercy is seeking experienced Labor and Delivery RNs to join our team at the Birthing Center. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include evaluating care effectiveness, coordinating with departments, and ensuring a supportive maternal-newborn environment with a commitment to Mercy’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficient in applying the nursing process to patient care.

Job description

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Mercy Joplin's Birthing Center offers 15 suites designed for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum periods. We have 2 fully equipped OR rooms within the Birthing Center, along with a Level III NICU to offer the region’s best care for premature or critically ill infants.

Seeking experienced L&D Nurses

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
