Job summary

HiredFirst in Clearlake, CA seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for 12-hour night shifts. The role covers L&D, postpartum and newborn care with occasional day shifts as needed.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, monitor fetal status, and participate in team-based emergencies. CPR/NRP/BLS are required, ACLS and other certifications preferred within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years Labor & Delivery experience (required).
• Strong labor + postpartum experience required.
• Experience with newborn stabilization required.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide L&D, postpartum, and newborn (0–28 days) care.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and document accurately.
• Assist with labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
• Stabilize newborns and respond to emergencies.
• Administer medications, IVs, and monitor fetal status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and educate families.
• Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and documentation standards.

Schedule

12-hour shifts (primarily nights)

6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Occasional day shift coverage as needed

36 or 48 hours/week available

Every other weekend required

No call / No floating
