Job summary

A healthcare provider in Massachusetts seeks a skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care during the night shift. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and be proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring. This role involves a structured schedule, ensuring safe and high-quality care for mothers and newborns.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications required.
• Strong experience in L&D and newborn care essential.

Schedule

Night Shift (2nd Shift)

7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours) or 4 x 12-hour shifts (48 hours)

No call (occasional on-call/low census up to 4 times)

No floating

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

Administer medications, IVs, and monitor maternal/fetal status

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and delegate tasks

Educate patients/families and support discharge planning

Ensure safe, high-quality care using nursing process

Additional Requirements
