Qualifications

Job description

This is a night shift position working 3 x 12‑hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00). Weekends are required with some weekend shifts included.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) who is prepared to float between units as necessary. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing high‑risk cases, labor management, and handling maternal emergencies. This role is supported by an interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive patient care for various age groups including neonates and adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for laboring patients, including active management of labor, induction, and augmentation.
• Assist with high‑risk deliveries, including C‑sections and VBAC/TOLAC procedures.
• Monitor and manage maternal emergencies and high‑risk conditions such as pre‑eclampsia and diabetes.
• Utilize advanced medical techniques such as IUPC placement and calibration.
• Administer medication and manage therapy protocols, including insulin and magnesium sulfate drips.
• Educate patients and families regarding childbirth and postpartum care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Charge RN experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Current RN license in Washington or Compact license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
