Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery in a facility handling high-risk deliveries and postpartum care. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 12-hour night shifts (6 PM–6 AM). Must have at least 2 years in L&D/postpartum and current RN license.

ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and COVID vaccine required. Experience circulating for C-sections is essential. The unit operates Cerner EMR; charge nurses exist but do not take patient assignments.

Responsibilities

• Unit consists of 9 Labor and Delivery beds and 4 Postpartum beds.
• Typically, around 55 births per month.
• Candidates must have experience circulating for C-sections.
• Float between Labor and Delivery and Postpartum is required.
• Weekend shifts are required every other week.
• Holidays will be scheduled in conjunction with permanent staff rotation.

Description:No first-time travelers accepted.Unit consists of 9 Labor and Delivery beds and 4 Postpartum beds.Typically, there are around 55 births per month.Candidates must have experience circulating for C-sections.Float between Labor and Delivery and Postpartum is required.Fetal monitoring system is in use.Electronic medical record system is Cerner.Charge nurse responsibilities exist, but charge nurses do not take patient assignments.Nurse Aides/OB techs are available on both day and night shifts.Weekend shifts are required every other week.Holidays will be scheduled in conjunction with permanent staff rotation.Scrub colors are provided by the facility.Respiratory therapy is available 24/7.Pharmacy services are available 24/7; however, after-hours services are managed by another provider.Common diagnoses include high-risk deliveries and patients 34 weeks and above.Birth plans are important and often followed by the patient population.Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the assignment.
