Description: This position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. The candidate will work in a high-risk perinatal care environment. The unit includes 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, and 30 postpartum beds. The nurse will have the opportunity to assist with both normal and high-risk deliveries. Responsibilities include the administration of medications, monitoring fetal heart rates, and supporting families during the labor process. The nurse will also provide education and discharge teaching to parents. Experience in facilities that handle 200 or more deliveries is ideal, but applicants with experience in facilities with 100-200 deliveries will also be considered. The unit is supported by skilled RNs, surgical techs, and CNAs to ensure comprehensive care for patients. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must commit to working key holidays and submit all scheduling requests upfront. Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of the assignment. All required certifications must be in place prior to starting the assignment. Experience with the EPIC charting system is preferred.
