Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN – Labor & Delivery for a 13-week night shift assignment in Monterey, CA. The role requires at least 3 years in L&D and travel experience, with EPIC charting proficiency and OR circulating duties.

The incumbent will manage the full labor process, float across Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and recovery areas, and cover weekends or holidays when needed. Night shifts and weekend support are expected as part of the assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Experience on travel assignments is required.
• Ability to read fetal strips and respond quickly.

Responsabilités

• Float to Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and recovery areas as needed.

• Read strips and monitor fetal status due to limited monitor techs.

Description:This unit averages 105 births per month.Nurses must be able to manage the entire labor process.The patient population has high expectations for customer service.Nurses are required to be confident, competent, and quick on their feet.Nurses should expect to assist with holiday shifts and work weekends when needed.Nurses will float to Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and recovery areas during their assignment.The unit does not have nurse aides or surgical techs.Nurses are expected to read strips as there are no monitor techs available.Charge nurses or house supervisors do not take patient assignments most of the time.Nurses must be available to respond effectively with limited staff.Regular communication regarding skills in both Labor and Delivery and postpartum care is encouraged.
