Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN for Labor and Delivery in California. This 13-week assignment requires a Night Shift (12-hour) schedule from 18:00 to 06:30, with ongoing patient care from intake through postpartum and neonatal care up to 28 days.

The role demands 3–4 years of RN experience, active state license, BLS and fetal monitoring credentials. You will lead care coordination, administer medications, document assessments, and support emergency responses in a fast-paced obstetric

Qualifications

• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification.
• ACLS & STABLE preferred; NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Care for women from labor through postpartum and neonatal care.
• Supervise and coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Charge for patients and unit supplies; administer narcotics and medications.
• Administer IV fluids and develop individual care plans.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions, and responses.
• Provide compassionate care and participate in emergency responses.

Description:This position involves the care of women from childbearing through geriatric years and infants up to 28 days of life.The individual will supervise and coordinate care with other disciplines.Organizational requirements include compliance with safety and well-being measures.All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment.Job responsibilities include accurately charging for patients and unit supplies.Administer and control narcotics and medications as needed.Administer IV fluids according to policies.The position requires the ability to provide compassionate care to patients, acknowledging physiological, psychological, and developmental needs.Developing an individual plan of care specific to each patient's age and status is essential.Documentation of patient assessment, plan, interventions, and response must be completed appropriately.The candidate must maintain expectations for all competencies, licenses, certifications, and education requirements.The role involves frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and transferring patients.Effective leadership is necessary by directing and delegating tasks to other members of the healthcare team.Demonstrating correct and safe techniques in the use of office and patient care equipment is required.The individual must be prepared to handle emergency situations in a prompt and professional manner.Patient and family education must be provided and documented appropriately.This role does not require weekends every week, as coverage is every other weekend.This job requires participation in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patient care.The individual will engage in patient care processes in accordance with established guidelines and policies.Experience with specific responsibilities such as assessment techniques and implementing care plans is crucial.All required skills should be aligned with legal and regulatory standards for practice.
