Overview

RN/Internal Agency – temporary full‑time assignment (13 weeks) on med/surg units at Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital. Pay $70.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide practice excellence through specialized nursing assessment, care, evaluation and education to patients and families following established policies.
• Promote evidence‑based practice by using research to develop, implement and evaluate process standards (e.g., plans of care, protocols, guidelines).
• Provide leadership excellence in the clinical practice area.
• Demonstrate commitment to learning excellence through professional development and clinical expertise.
• Demonstrate role clarity by applying professional competence, expertise, and knowledge, and support the nursing profession through role modeling and fostering a learning environment.

Education and Formal Training

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Licenses and Certifications

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association
• Registered Nurse issued by Tennessee, Arkansas, or Mississippi boards
• ACLS, PALS, NRP (required based on specialty; may be required after start)

Supervision

The RN directs and delegates all patient‑care activities on the unit.

Physical Demands

Activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must exert up to 50lbs occasionally or 25lbs frequently, have good balance, coordination, and close visual acuity. Exposure to body fluids, hazardous materials, and emergency situations.
