This RN Internal Agency position is a temporary, full‑time assignment (13 weeks) on various ED units, paid $70.00/hour. The role involves providing specialized nursing assessment, care, evaluation, and education to patients and families while adhering to established policies and protocols.

A Brief Overview

The RN/Internal Agency is a temporary full‑time assignment working on various units. The RN is responsible for the nursing care of patients requiring specialized judgment and skill, drawing upon knowledge of the natural, behavioral, and nursing sciences. The RN models appropriate behavior, exemplifies the organization's mission, vision, and values, and carries forward a commitment to compassion, service, and excellence.

Education / Formal Training Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (RN)
Licenses and Certifications Requirements
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse, Tennessee – Tennessee Board of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse, Arkansas – Arkansas State Board of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse, Mississippi – Mississippi Board of Nursing
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP – required based on specialty assigned
  • Other certifications may be required depending on assigned nursing unit.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Analytical skills for assessing complex patient conditions and developing comprehensive care plans.
  • Ability to synthesize multiple sources of information to resolve complex situations.
  • Proficiency applying technical principles, concepts, and techniques central to nursing practice.
Supervision Provided by This Position

The Registered Nurse directs and delegates all patient care activities on the unit.

Physical Demands
  • Requires climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally or up to 25 lbs. frequently.
  • Requires good balance, coordination, and close visual acuity.
  • Frequently involves invasive and non‑invasive patient contact and exposure to patient fluids and hazardous materials.
  • Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
