• ACLS, PALS, NRP required based on specialty assigned to work (specialty may be required after start).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Physical Demands

The physical activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. The RN may need to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. The RN must have good balance and coordination, close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform activities such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading. Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact and exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous or poisonous materials may occur. The RN must be able to react quickly to emergency situations.

The Registered Nurse directs and delegates all patient‑care activities on nursing units.
