Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient Surgery department at Allen Hospital in Ohio. This PRN role involves delivering comprehensive perioperative nursing care, from preoperative assessment to postoperative discharge instructions, within a collaborative surgical team.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in alignment with policy and standards, ensuring patient safety, quality outcomes, and effective coordination across departments during perioperative

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; RN licensed in-state.
• ACLS/PALS preferred at hire; must obtain within 6 months based on dept requirements.
• 2 years of Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient, develop plan of care, and coordinate with the health care team.
• Administer medications safely and per policy.
• Coordinate care across hospital departments and with the surgical team.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields; ensure equipment readiness.
• Provide preop, intraop, and post-op care and patient education.
