Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's Allen Hospital in Ohio seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Inpatient Surgery on a PRN basis. The RN delivers patient care using the nursing process, coordinates with the health care team, and supports safe, high-quality perioperative care within the surgical services department.

The role requires an Ohio RN license (compact acceptable), possible ACLS/PALS, and BSN preferred. Two years of critical care or OR internship experience is preferred; Bon Secours Mercy Health

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact license
• ACLS or PALS preferred at hire; ACLS/PALS may be required within 6 months
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• 2 years of Critical Care experience preferred
• Completion of OR internship program preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition before, during, and after operation to ensure optimal outcomes
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and ensure safe environment in OR
• Administer medications safely per policy and procedure
• Provide preop, intraop, and post-op care and discharge instructions
• Support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Assist anesthesia during induction and emergence
