Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Operating Room team at Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. The RN will deliver perioperative nursing care across pre-op, intra-op and post-op phases, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients undergoing surgery.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the care team, assessing patient status, coordinating with the surgical team, and developing care plans to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state.
• Graduate of accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current BLS; ACLS or PALS preferred at hire (must obtain).
• CNOR and SGNA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and assist to create and maintain a safe environment for the patient.
• Manage the nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinate with other care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
