Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of perioperative nursing experience.
• Indiana RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in EMR systems and medical software.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and support privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Confirm that proper techniques and procedures are used according to standards of practice.
• Perform thorough pre-operative patient assessment.
• Provide safe post-operative nursing care in immediate post-anesthesia period.
• Perform post-operative assessment prior to discharge.
• Provide discharge education to patient and caretaker.
• Provide nursing care related to surgical condition and anesthesia.
• Document all aspects of patient care in EMR.
• Assist in managing inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support CPIhealth.
