Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Psychiatry unit in Dallas. The role reports to nursing leadership and physicians to provide comprehensive nursing care and coordination for patients.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, documentation, and collaboration with the health care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. A BSN is preferred and Texas RN licensure with BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program; English reading/writing required.
• 1 year of RN experience; specialty areas may require more.
• Texas RN license (NLC/BNE) and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments across all ages.
• Anticipate patient needs and develop an appropriate plan of care.
• Coordinate with the inter-disciplinary team to implement care plans.
