Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Registered Nurse for Inpatient Psychiatry Days to join the team. You will provide direct patient care under supervision of nursing leadership and physicians, and contribute to treatment plans, education, and safety.

A strong focus on patient advocacy and interdisciplinary collaboration is required. The role requires English proficiency, a Texas RN license (NLC/BNE), and BLS certification, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• 1 year RN experience preferred; certain units may require more.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive nursing assessments for patients.
• Develop and communicate care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Adhere to hospital policies and nursing standards of practice.
