Job summary

UT Southwestern is seeking a Registered Nurse for Inpatient Psychiatry in Dallas, TX. This full-time daytime role supports patient assessments, care planning, and interdisciplinary coordination to ensure high-quality care. Candidates must have a BSN or equivalent and hold a current Texas RN license with BLS certification.

English proficiency required. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, documenting care, and educating patients and families while following ANA standards and unit

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs and accurately documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments.
• Anticipates patient and family needs and develops an appropriate care plan.
• Identifies nursing interventions based on assessment and coordinates care with the health care team.
• Prioritizes nursing interventions and reports changes in condition promptly.
• Adheres to nursing policies and professional standards; educates patients and families.
• Welcomes, orients, and engages patients in their daily care and discharge planning.
