Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an Infusion Clinical Nurse at Farmington Hills Hospital to deliver compassionate patient care in the infusion setting. You will work under the supervision of a Nursing leader to implement treatment plans, monitor patients, and respond to changes in clinical status while prioritizing patient-family centered care.

This role requires current MI RN licensure, a BSN or higher preferred, and relevant experience in acute care or ICU.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing (or equivalent).
• BSN/MSN/DNP – if not BSN, must enroll in accredited BSN program within 1 year of licensure date and complete within 5 years (effective Apr 18, 2023).
• 1 year of relevant experience in acute care, emergency, or ICU nursing is preferred.
• RN License (State MI) upon hire.
• Driver’s License – State MI (Home Infusion upon hire).
• BLS (American Heart Association) or ARC CPR certification upon hire.
• Chemotherapy Biotherapy certification (ONCC/ONS) – Adult Infusion 1 year required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using patient-family centered care principles.
• Under supervision, apply clinical judgment to implement treatment plans.
• Assess, monitor, detect, plan and take actions to prevent complications related to health problems or treatments.

Scope of Work

The Infusion Clinical Nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family center care principles. Under the direct supervision of the Nursing leader and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment skills to access and implement the treatment plan for patients. The RN assesses monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent physiological complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatment.

Qualifications

• Required Associate’s Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree or equivalent.


• Required Bachelor’s Degree B.S.N., or M.S.N., or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years required. This is effective April 18, 2023.


• 1 year of relevant experience acute care, emergency, or intensive care nursing Preferred


• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required


• LIC-Driver’s License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Home Infusion Upon Hire required


• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or


• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required


• CRT-Chemotherapy Biotherapy - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Adult Infusion 1 Year required Or


• CRT-Chemotherapy Biotherapy - ONS Oncology Nursing Society Adult Infusion 1 Year


• CRT-Oncology Certified Nurse - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Upon Hire preferred
