Job summary

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Kansas Registered Nurse license required.
• Must obtain multistate RN license in home state within 90 days of hire.
• One year nursing experience in infectious disease, MAT and/or ATS preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Complete HIV, Hepatitis C and SBIRT training within first 90 days.
• MAT certification within first year.
• Apply for HIV or Addiction Certification after 2 years in clinic.

Responsibilities

• Oversees patient rooming, collects histories, reconciles medications and vitals; prioritizes complex cases.
• Provides clinical support: injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and in-house labs.
• Oversees vaccines administered by medical assistants for safety and protocols.
• Supports timely prescription refills and provider communication per protocols.
• Assists with prior authorizations and documentation; coordinates peer-to-peer reviews.
• Performs in-clinic and phone triage; coordinates labs and appointments with care team.
• Discharges education on meds, follow-up care, and treatment plans.
• Manages sample meds inventory, equipment sterilization, and specimen transport.
• Performs SBIRT when needed and supports urgent patient needs.
